Terms and Conditions of Use

We know that you’re busy so we’re not going to waste your time with a lot of legal mumbo jumbo that you’ll probably never read anyway. Instead, we ask you to please read the following important text that spells out what you can expect of us; and what we expect of you in order to minimize problem and maximize your enjoyment of your personal chef service. Order Deadline: All orders must be placed by Sunday,10pm Eastern Time Zone, for delivery by that Thursday or Friday (depending on your geographic location).

New! One Time Orders! No subscription needed! Our weekly Subscriptions will be Delivered to you Every Week unless you Cancel or Pause by deadline. We offer a discount for subscription or recurring customers and our new site will let you pause and cancel next week or many weeks out automatically. We also offer not only a weekly plan but one every 2 weeks! Coming soon, Family plans starting at $5.99 per serving, that feed up to 5 people.

Order Changes, Pausing or Cancellations You may change your meal choices and quantity of your order, pause or cancel your order entirely, up until 10 pm Sunday, Eastern Time Zone. You can change your selections on our website using login account access. Pause and cancellations can be now done on line effortlessly! Gift Cards are non-refundable but may be transferable.

Freshness Guarantee We promise that you food will arrive fresh, cold and in great condition. We also promise that it will remain that way in your fridge (36-40-degrees please) till date on label. If you believe your meals to be less than fresh, we will replace your meals free of charge. Simply freeze the unused portion of your meal and return it to 7140 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville, Va 23111. We will replace a similar item and refund you the return shipping cost but you must return the item(s) in question. Sorry, we do not offer cash refunds for any reason.

Order Accuracy You are responsible for providing us with correct and complete home address delivery information. If your package is undeliverable, or delivered to a wrong address as a result of you providing us with inaccurate or missing delivery information, we will not be held responsible for any loss or damage. If you discover any errors on your order form that could result in a delivery problem, you must contact our office by midnight Monday to correct any shipping errors.

Please check that your order information is correct, especially your reply e-mail address; delivery address, including apt # or rural route number; correct street name; zip code and the recipient’s phone # before submitting your order. If you find any errors after you place your order, you must contact us by phone or email and receive confirmation of corrected delivery address. We will email you a corrected delivery address as verification of correction.

Receiving Your Meals It is your responsibility to make sure that we have all information necessary for a successful delivery. If you live in a secure building, or gated community, please make certain that we have adequate delivery information to make sure that FedEx has access. We cannot redeliver your meals; therefore we have instructed FedEx to leave all packages at the door without signature authorization. Your food will be waiting for you at your doorstep in temperature-controlled refrigerated containers. All that we ask is to make sure your meals go into to your fridge no later than midnight Saturday. We are not responsible for spoiled food or a lost delivery due incomplete delivery information, or food that was not properly refrigerated by the Saturday deadline.

Fed-Ex Ground and Second Day Express Delivery Schedule and Terms Delivery date and time is Friday by 9 pm. In some cases deliveries might arrive one day earlier.

We ship via UPS Home Delivery only. Deliveries can only be to a residential address. UPS does not deliver to P.O. Boxes. Sorry, no exceptions.

If you are planning to be out of town that weekend, please make arrangements to have a neighbor or friend take your package inside. We are not responsible for spoiled food that was not properly refrigerated by Midnight Friday. Personal Chef To Go, Inc. accepts no responsibly for damage or delay due to, negligence, mishandling or abuse by shipper or for acts of nature. We will, however, work with the shipper on your behalf to secure a satisfactory remedy for any claims against shipper.

Dietary Preferences and Restrictions Personal Chef To Go, Inc. is not responsible for any health problems you may suffer if you choose a meal or food item to which you are allergic to, nor it is responsible if you select a meal that contains a food item that you do not prefer. We make every attempt to carefully list common food allergens such as tree nuts and peanuts, however, we will not be held responsible for any injury or illness resulting from the consumption of these ingredients.

Personal Chef To Go, Inc. can not be held liable under any circumstances for any illness or health problem that may result from the consumption of its prepared foods or meals. Gift Cards All gift card sales are final. No exceptions. The end user is solely responsible for protecting the value of the e-card by keeping the unique gift card # secure and in a safe place.

Expiration date: E-card balances will be honored at full value for a period of 16-months from the time of purchase. After that time the value of the card will be assessed an inactivity fee of $2 per month until the full value of the e-card is depleted.

E-Gift Cards will be sent immediately upon successful completion of your transaction. If you wish to delay delivery to arrive on a birthday or anniversary, please send it to yourself first and then either print to send via postal mail; or forward via e-mail on the date you wish.

Payment Responsibility

By accepting these terms you are authorizing Personal Chef To Go to charge your credit or debit card or Paypal account one time or weekly (until you cancel), for the full amount of the transaction. You also agree to be liable for any collection costs associated with the settlement of this debt, not limited to court costs or attorney’s fees.
